ACN ‘04: Trump Fiction
In Slot 1 at Ambercon North 2004, I played in Chris Kindred’s Trump Fiction.
The premise (from Kindred):
In 1939, New York City is the center of the universe: The one true City of which all others are pale reflections. It is a city populated by dashing heroes, criminal masterminds, mad science, magic and dirigibles. From high atop the Amber Building, wealthy industrialist Oberon Amberson has gathered the greatest heroes of the age together to save the world.
The player character group consisted of:
Doc Gerard — the man of bronze.
Caine, the Ghost Who Walks — a mysterious phantom who every two-bit hood claims to have killed at some point. (My character)
Lamont Corwin, the Shadow — deadly dark-night gunman with the ability to cloud men’s minds. (Sean’s Character)
Madam Llewella — gypsy psychic. (Darn, forgot who played her.)
Doctor Brand Totulkamp — mad scientist with a fleet of aircraft, giant robots, and powered armor. (Matt’s character)
Synopsis:
A flying battle platform disguised as the moon attacked the Amber building. Moon men in crescent stealth aircraft were repelled by the Amber Foundation, and the Amber Building’s lightning shield.
Madame Llewella discovered that the moon men were actually air pirates in disguise. Using T.I.R., the Foundation tracked them to a secret island base in the South China Sea. At that point a great deal of mayhem ensued. Eventually both the island and the battle platform were destroyed, and Amber Foundation returned to Manhattan to see what Brand’s giant robots had done in their absence.
